From a conversation to the right seller, in four honest steps
No account to set up and nothing to sign at this stage. Here's exactly what happens, and exactly where our role ends.
Tell us what you're looking for
A short call or written brief covering how you'll use the van — weekend trips, full-time living, festivals — plus budget range, berth count, layout preferences and the three things you won't compromise on. Only what's needed for the search is asked for.
Receive a considered shortlist
A small number of relevant vans, drawn from dealer stock, converter build slots and private sales — not just one source. Each entry shows the seller, asking price, the date it was checked, why it may suit your brief, and any trade-offs or open questions.
Choose whether to view or test drive
If a van looks right, we'll tell you which seller would receive your details and what would be shared, before anything is sent. An introduction only happens with your explicit agreement.
Continue your purchase with that seller
From here, the dealer, converter or private seller manages viewing, test drives, negotiation and the transaction. You pay for the van in the normal way — never through The Campervan Shortlist. An independent mechanical inspection is always worth arranging before you commit, especially on a private sale.
How this is paid for
There's no fee to you for using this service. Some dealers or converters may pay The Campervan Shortlist a referral fee if an introduction leads to a completed purchase. A shortlist can include sellers who don't pay a referral fee — selection follows your brief, not who pays. Any fee-paying relationship relevant to your shortlist is disclosed to you clearly before an introduction is made.
What we don't do
- –Conduct or arrange viewings or test drives directly
- –Negotiate offers or purchase terms
- –Handle deposits, purchase funds or payments
- –Carry out a mechanical or habitation inspection
- –Give legal, finance, insurance or warranty advice
- –Guarantee any vehicle's condition, mileage history or build quality
